Course Overview:

This beginner-friendly program introduces students in Grades 4 and 5 to the foundational concepts of coding and computational thinking in a fun, project-based environment. We believe in learning by doing! Through a series of engaging activities and creative projects, students will build their own simple apps, games, and animations, all while developing critical problem-solving skills for the future.

The Languages We Use:

Introduction to Text-Based Coding: Python

As students gain confidence, we introduce them to the world of text-based coding through simplified, fun exercises in Python. Python is one of the world's most popular and beginner-friendly text languages. We will use simple Python commands in a supportive environment to:

Draw shapes and patterns using Turtle graphics.

Create simple text-based games (like a Mad Libs generator).

Understand how the logic they learned in Scratch translates to a "real-world" programming language.

A Pathway to the Future:
